The Phantom Dust Guide - Chapter 2

You begin Chapter 2 in Visions' HQ.

Leader will ask you to see Ubiquitous, in the arsenal lab, for something urgent.

Spokesman will tell you to talk to Kajikawa (he is standing on the platform near the monitors) to find out more about the memory boxes you have been receiving after completing each mission.

Memory Box Terminal - In addition to reading the game tips from each memory box you obtain after a battle you can edit your game options here. You can invert the camera control, check your mission results, and even replay previous missions.

Go to the Lab: To get to the lab head out Visions' HQ and go straight across the main floor and up the short flight of stairs, Know is standing at the entrance. Enter and speak with Ubiquitous. He will tell you that you must go meet Edgar.

Go to the Battle Area: Edgar is in the Battle Terminal, where most of the missions have taken place so far. Head down the side exit of the lab, not the way you came in. Go up the ramp and make a right at the end. Edgar is standing near the railway tracks, to the right.

Mission 11: Collecting Battle Data / Palace / 600 - Win the battle, Edgar will assist you. Edgar will freeze the enemy's skill buttons so that you have a chance to attack. Watch the HUD, you can see when anyone is frozen. After you've cleared the mission talk to Edgar. He will tell you to report your findings to Ubiquitous in the Arsenal Lab.

Mission 12: Float / Highway / 600 - Use this new skill, win the battle and report back to the lab. Edgar will assist you. Levitate will appear in your arsenal. Use it at least once in battle. You can use both the Laser and the Bullet of Fire from the air! Watch out though, don't get shot out of the sky. You have no way to defend yourself while up in the air. You may need your Wall defense later in the battle to block the enemy's Bullet of Fire. Talk to Ubiquitous after the mission.

Mission 13: Status Skills / Palace / 600 - Use the new Status skill, win the battle and report back to the lab. Edgar will assist you. Heat is your new Status skill, it raises your attack damage by 1 and reduces your aura recovery speed by 10%. Notice the HUD when you use it, it shows any status attributes. Report to Ubiquitous after completing the mission. He will tell you that he will "wait a while" - go talk to Tetsuya in the Battle Terminal, near the portal to the surface world for your next mission.

Mission 14: Continue: Status Skills / Palace / 600 - An enemy will now also use Status skills. Investigate more Status skills. Edgar will assist you. Watch out for Scoto he will hit you with Burden, which slows you down 20%. Luckily your arsenal has a skill that will reset your status attributes and another one that will reset your target's attributes. Once you've beat the mission talk to Tetsuya for another one.

Mission 15: New Skill Researcher / Highway / 600 - Use the new Attack skills spawning on the highway. Edgar will assist you. A combination of Photon Wave (when near) and Crawlers (when at a medium distance) will do the trick. Talk to Tetsuya for your next mission.

Mission 16: Defense is the Key / Highway / 600 - Use your defense skill Learning to capture one of their Attack skills, as you have none in your arsenal. Use Flash Barrier which costs 0 to block their Bullet of Fire attack. You can then hit back with the attack you've "learned", be it Bullet of Fire or Blaster. Talk to Tetsuya for your next mission.

Mission 17: Powers That Erase / Panorama / 600 - Research the Erase skills. Sammah will assist you. Use Flash Barrier to block the enemy's erase skill. If you don't he will erase your Attack skills. Sammah will erase the enemy's defense to allow you to attack with Blaster, Bullet of Fire, Piece of Ice, etc. Talk to Tetsuya for your next mission.

Mission 18: Registration List / Highway / 600 - Support Edgar and find the Registration List. Use Dash to dodge the enemy's attacks and then attack him with Bullet of Fire when he is being held still by Edgar's attack. Talk to Tetsuya for your next mission.

Mission 19: Continue: Erase Skills / Panorama / 600 - Investigate the Erase skills. Sammah will assist you. Keep using the Erase skills over and over on the enemy while blocking with the Flash Barrier. When you've finished the mission go talk to Know. He is located on the main floor, at the entrance to the lab.

Mission 20: Come Hither Strong One / Palace / 600 - You're on your own in this one, win the battle. Know is not that hard to take out. Use any attack skill you like. When you see a white orb appear capture and use it. That is an Aura Particle and it will increase your level, which increases your Aura, allowing you to use a skill. Once you've completed the battle make your way down to the clinic. Head toward the bar and when you are there look for another stairway to go down. The clinic is on the lower floor in the same area (Atrium). Talk to Mikan, the nurse in the clinic for your next mission.

Mission 21: Recipe for Recover / Panorama / 600 - Win the battle. Edgar will assist you. Attack the enemy with Photon Wave and other attack skills you receive. Talk to Mikan after the battle and then return to the Battle Terminal and speak to Tetsuya at the portal for you next mission.

Mission 22: Abundance of Memory / Highway / 600 - Investigate the Highway - The battle with Picatto. The secret to beating Picatto is attacking the correct part at the right time. You must first destroy his shield, then focus on one of the orange circular eye-type things on either side of him. When that portion of Picatto has been defeated change your lock-on target to top of Picatto. Throw bombs on it until he's dead. You can dodge most of his attack my running out of their way. If you can't dodge them, stand in front of a cement barrier along the highway's edge when he fires at you.
