"Armaros was the 11th Watcher of the 20 leaders of the 200 fallen angels that are mentioned in an ancient work called the Book of Enoch. The name means "cursed one", which is fitting because some people speculate that Armaros was the fallen angel that had the idea of "swearing on an oath; we will bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon our plan but [to] execute our projected undertaking", which were the Nephilim."

Cool. Another reason I like Faith school is because virtually all the skill names have some sort of history or meaning behind them.

Um. Other cool things about skill names? Names that fit the best, the worst? Best and worst names period?

Oh, yeah. Discuss Armaros, too, if you want. For some reason Watch pisses me off more than any other skill. It always feels like the other person is being a complete jerk when he uses it on you. That's why I really, really want one. o:

I just wanted to post that. I'm at school right now (ugh... n_n), so...

MOst names have a historical backround.

Check on Mephisto, Ares (Roiman God of War), Aubis (Egyptian Death God), and other names you can think of.

Actually the Romains stole all of their gods from the greeks when they concored them (they just changed some of the names). So he is the Greek god of war. Wink

Gehenna is also another term for Hell.

Muramasa is the name of an impure and evil swordsmith that was a rival to Masamune in Japan, both forged incredible swords but Muramasa was filled with malice. It was said that if you stuck both swords in a river and let a leaf drift by along the sword, the Muramasa blade would slice right through it and the leaf would go around the Masamune sword.

Lucifer was the fallen Angel that eventually became Satan/the devil in one theory.

Will-o-wisp was a term for floating lights that would lead travelers into the forest at night over cliffs to their deaths.

Dhampir is a folk word meaning Half Vampire.

Succubus is a female demon that would either A. Seduce men into sleeping with them, only to steal their souls or B. Enter their dreams and try and seduce them, which is what people in the middle ages thought caused wet dreams.

Thor was the norse god of Thunder, he wielded a hammer called Mjolnir and was destined to die fighting the great snake Jormungand during Ragnarok, in which he will kill the beast and walk I believe 9 steps afterwards and drop dead from the poison.

Artemis was the Greek Goddess for the Hunt and Childbirth

The Necronomicon is a made up book (supposedly) that was used by H.P Lovecraft in his Horror/Adventure/Mystery writings, it supposedly holds all the secrets of the dead and numerous incantations and such to manipulate the dead. Many people have claimed to have actually found the "real" necronomicon, but it can't be proved at all.

Athena was the Greek Goddess of war and wisdom.

Doppelganger is a spirit that copies a person, or is referred to as the evil or malicious side of our persona's and becomes manifested to do mischief.

Those should be all the names that hold some sort of meaning different. A few of them I assumed would be obvious, like the use of Angel's and Demon's, but if not I can state them if you'd like.
