Wait. If I'm going to use the Pantera profile, is that the one that my online gamertag uses for skills?
If I sign in with a new profile, does this mean i can only use the skills and arsenals from that profile?
If this is the case, I intend to use the pantera profile which means i should get the Xport before 10;00 tonight so i can get some of those rare skills on the profile that i will be using online. |

We are not talking "Xbox Live Profile", but game profile. You probably only have the one you created right now on your 360. When you started a new game you gave it a name, that is the game profile name we are talking about. After you add the Pantera profile that is the profile you will have to load in Phantom Dust to have everything unlocked, including all the rares. So, you don't really need to be there at 10pm if you are going to get this device and use the Pantera game save. You will be using your same gamertag as always and no on online will know anything about the profile name you used for your Phantom Dust game save. I hope that makes sense.

| And one more thing just to confirm: It has EVERY skill, character, game completed etc. And there would be no reason to play through the singleplayer again other then just for the fun of it? |

Right. I am still playing through single player, but I didn't want to have to rush through it just to play online again. Now I have two profiles on my 360. One I named 360 and the other is called Pantera. I am still doing story mode with the 360 profile and playing online with the Pantera profile. No matter what though I am logged into Live as Phreaker. The Pantera profile has all of the missions completed so the only way to play them again would be to use the simulator. It has multiples of each skill including every "rare" Xbox Live skill and millions of credits.

Which one of the pantera saves are you using phreaker? because the one I have only has the 300 skills and no rares.

Yeah and when the 120 GB HDD comes out Microsoft will include software to tranfer saves from your 20 GB HDD. Thank God!

After thinking over how long it would take to trade over all my rares and reconstruct my old arsenals, i decided to get the XPort and go ahead and get the save over to my 360. The xbox will be more useful modded when I've got the save off it, anyway.
I'll be trying this out tonight. I need to look at the latest/greatest modkits (I don't even have Mechwarrior anymore...)

The XPort was on sale at the BestBuy here in Seattle for $22 actually, and I got a discount since the one I found was an opened item. Thanks for the instructions Phreaker, I got the Pantera game save on my 360 as you described. There's actually more rares on his than on my old one after disassembling his arsenals, so I might be all set now.
I might get the 48 hour free Live trial on my old xbox and then trade over the 20 odd skills that I'd like to salvage off there (extra quantum amps, etc...) - and then pass on modding my old xbox ...

Maybe I missed it but what's the epoint of trading over the skills if your already brought the save over to your 360? Because phreaker told me last night that it took him almost two hours to trade his skiller over and I was thinking of he bout the xport, what's the point?
